

In the first instance you should discuss your claim with your insurance broker or advisor and then make arrangement for either you to lodge the claim over the phone with your insurance broker or to lodge your claim by phone with the insurance company direct.
You should always discuss your claim with your broker first before contact with the underwriter claims departments.
What you should do in the event of an insurance claim.
- You must contact your broker or branch office
- Produce a police report if required
- Obtain quote for repair (apart from emergency services ie glaziers)
- Obtain quotation for the replacement item if not repairable.
- Take reasonable cost to stop further loss.
- Inform the police immediately advising os of the report number and police station and obtain written report.
DO NOT ASSUME OR TAKE ON REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT WITHOUT ACCEPTENCE AND OR CONFIRMATION OF CLAIM.
